So most of you have seen me posting that I was doing a 90 day challenge and I wanted to share my results with you so here it goes. So 93 days ago I decided to jump in with both feet and do the Body By Vi 90 day challenge and let me tell you it was the best decision I made. Not only do I have a ton of support but I discovered that I have the dedication in me to accomplish anything I want to. So my goal was to loose 40 pounds in 90 days, I chose not to set it to high only because I did not want to beat myself up if I had not reached it well I am here to tell you not only did I beat that number I CRUSHED IT! Dedication is the key people! Loosing weight does not have to be HARD nor does it have to be a “Chore”. You must clear your mind of all negativity and surround yourself with people who support you 110%
How was I introduced to Body By Vi? Well it wasn’t from someone who lived down the road from me that is for sure. I have a friend from HS who promotes and I was always seeing his posts with pictures of REAL people and their stories and after a few chats with him and some soul searching I was ready to give it a shot. Now he will not take the credit for me getting started but I will ALWAYS give him the credit for PLANTING THAT SEED! What a blessing he has been and wonderful supporter!
I work out 5 days a week an hour each day sometimes an hour all at once sometimes broken into two 30 minute workouts. I started out doing 40 push ups a day and have worked my way up to 100 oh yes I am feeling things “hurt” that have never hurt before LOL But ya know what, its a GOOD HURT! As my father would always say “No Pain No Gain” Ah yes gotta love the marines *wink* Anyways, for me it wasn’t about cutting down my portion sizes it was about MOVING, getting my blood pumping and my heart rate up. The Visalus shakes have been a huge help and let me tell you what they are soooooo good! Tons of recipes to use but I must say my favorite is Trop50, 2 scoops of shake mix, frozen strawberries and frozen banana’s! The shake is a meal replacer so instead of having breakfast I have a shake and sometimes I will change it up and have one for lunch or dinner. YES I eat “real” food too! Healthy portions and choices mixed with the shake and workouts is how I have dropped the 52 pounds and 17 inches.
I started out at 394 pounds (so sad) and I did not LOVE myself at all. Sure I should not have let myself get that big but life happens ya know? I was tired of not loving myself and always feeling like I couldn’t go out in public because of my size not to mention the stares, harsh comments and finger pointing I would get when I would go out in public which in return was hard on my children. It not only hurt me to hear the things people would say but it hurt them too so I looked at it as not only was my weight hurting me in a million different ways it was hurting my children too and that just didn’t fly for me anymore.
Obesity is a huge problem all over the place, not in just adults but in children too. We need to take care of our bodies they are the only ones we get. It took a lot of courage for me to share my photos for everyone on my friends list to see but once I did and got so many positive comments I then realized that I just faced a huge fear in my life and it was going to be OKAY!

No I am not where I want to be and I have started my second round on the 90 day challenge and my goal is to loose another 52 pounds! I can sit here and say that I am a lot happier and love myself enough to want to get down to a healthy weight. I am a beautiful person inside and out and I truly see this NOW. We can all put on a fake smile and make people believe we are happy when deep down we really aren’t. I want to pay it forward and help anyone who wants the help to start their weight loss journey. My supporters don’t stand in front of me or behind me, they stand BESIDE ME and I will do the same for anyone who is ready to take that leap.
